Bayern actually wanted to continue the partnership with Qatar Airways, but the Emir of Qatar personally pulled the plug on the deal. It was certainly not Bayern who decided to end the partnership due to pressure from fans, especially since the deal brought them €25m/year [@SZ]
Ultimately, several factors were decisive for the separation, all of which have to do with how Qatar perceives the general socio-political situation in Germany. In Doha, they were also unhappy with the massive critics by Bayern fans at the last AGM [@SZ]
The World Cup in Qatar then followed, and the disagreements because visible worldwide (debates around the rainbow armband, Germany players gesture before the Japan game, celebrations in Qatari TV after Germany were eliminated etc) [@SZ]
Bayern and Qatar Airways as a company actually appreciated each other throughout the years. But in Qatar, the decision-making power lies with the Emir, who decided to end the partnership [@SZ]

Sponsorships with Gulf States is by no means off the table for Bayern. It's true that Saudi Arabia is a 'no-go' in Munich, but according to @SZ information, airlines from Dubai and Abu Dhabi are considering a partnership deal with Bayern [@SZ_Sport]

Wär schon irgendwie witzig.
